Tours

Tamarind Area area offers many possibilities to make tour. You can rent a small scooter or car or just get in touch with a local tour operator such as Papagayo Excursions or Blue Marlin Tours. They offer plenty of different tours to the Volcanoes (Rincon de la Vieja, Arenal), to caves so on. If you want to run on your own, ask your receptionist or experienced tourists where to go.

Other

Take half a day and go to, Flamingo, Potrero Bay or Papagayo Peninsula (Hermosa Beach, Panama Beach). Or if you want to spend a whole day away from Tamarindo visit "Volcano Rincon de la Vieja" and Hacienda Guachipelin. They offer a one day advenure pass for a lot fun. Check our maps for these locations in www.costaricanmaps.com . Those places have a lot to offer and you can make an easy day tour, or just go chopping to Liberia, the capital of Guanacaste. Many towns like Santa Cruz, La Cruz, Carrillo, aso. have local activities on week ends like bull fighting (don’t worry, they don’t kill the bull) and horse parades. It is a lot of fun and worth to go in order to live once like a Tico for a couple of hours. Ask the locals, they know best what is going on and where.
